BBC Documentary 'Great Ormond Street' gives real insight into our brave 'Treasure Box Children'
The second series, BBC documentary 'Great Ormond Street' which is filmed over the course of a year, features unprecedented access to doctors from the children's hospital Great Ormond Street as they make some of the hardest choices in medicine. When medical technology seems to offer so much, every parent with a sick child will hope that something can be done, but doctors must decide when enough is enough. For the first time on television, cameras follow Great Ormond Street Hospital's doctors into the meetings where they come face to face with the most difficult ethical dilemmas on a daily basis.
The first episode of the second series on Tuesday 8th May on BBC2 at 9.00pm featured two of our wonderful and brave treasure box children. It was especially tough for Indee's parents and family to watch as it brought back so many memories, we hope the series brings much needed awareness to this ilness which is the number one childhood cancer and the least funded by the government, we send all our love to all the familes who are took part in the series. Follow the six part series next week BBC2, Tuesday at 9.00pm.
To watch the series and read more information go to the BBC website here.

But I'm only a child ball, The Park Lane Hotel, London
We are so proud to have been chosen for a second year running as a beneficiary of Clare Brooking's wonderful charity ball, many wonderful charities were also chosen: The Willow Foundation, Caron Keating Foundations, Sparkes to name but a few, it was a wonderful night where Clare raised over £30,000 for these children charities. A huge thank you to the wonderful Alex Galea, who donated a personal cheque of £2,500 to our charity on the night. A wonderful generous man who we were very proud to meet.
Thank you to our dear friend Clare, for our valued, continued support, we really do appreciate it.
Local boys run for our charity!
In March 2012, a group of local Canvey schoolboys took part in a sponsored run to raise money for our charity.
Byron Brackett, 12, Martyn Lacey, 12 and Harry Harrison 12, who attend the Castle View School, organised and completed the run to raise money for the Indee Rose Trust.
The three youngsters go to school with Indee’s brother Finley, and were so moved by the charity’s good work they felt compelled to do all they could to further their cause.
Byron’s mother Sally Brackett, 38, of Gainsborough Avenue, Canvey, said: “I am so extremely proud of them for coming up with the idea themselves and putting in all this hard work for such a worthy foundation.”
Eleven pupils took part in event, running from Canvey Rugby Club, in Dovervelt Road, to the Labworth Cafe, in Western Esplanade, Canvey and managed to raise £85.
Following their success, Byron, Martyn, and Harry are looking into organising another sponsored event to raise even more money our charity.

Indee Rose Trust Celebrity Football Event - line up announced....
Our annual celebrity football event takes place Sunday 14th August 2011 at Concord Footbal Club on Canvey Island. The event starts at 12.00pm, but gates open from 11.00am.
Last July Johnny Eames our patron and the crew at the TKO Boxing Gym in Canning Town organised a celebrity football tournament, on Canvey Island, Essex, to raise funds for the Indee Rose Trust. The event was a massive success that not only attracted stars from the world of boxing, television and music but also raised in excess of £20,000 for this worthy cause.
On August 14th Johnny, and boxing stars Matthew Macklin, Kevin Mitchell, Ricky Burns, Barry McGuigan, Paul and Stephen Smith, Willie Limond, Tony Oakey, Wayne Elcock, Ross Minter, Martin Power, Steve Collins, Kell Brook; and will be joined by celebrities such as Alex Reid, Johnny Borrell (Razorlight), Mark Wingett (Jim Carver – The Bill), Stephen Bell (Coronation Street), various members of the Eastenders and Shameless cast and many more to be announced at the Concord Rangers FC ground on Canvey Island for the second annual Celebrity Football Tournament, in aid of the Indee Rose Trust,
Johnny, who earlier this year was himself diagnosed with cancer, is clearly determined that this years event will be even more successful than the last, as he made clear when he said earlier, “Last year’s was fantastic, we raised over twenty grand, which far exceeded anything we were looking at doing. But that’s made me greedier to raise even more this year really.
We’ve been a little bit slow getting it off the ground this year, for certain reasons , certain things have been going on in my life which didn’t allow me to get involved quite as early as I planned to, but hopefully those problems are dealt with now and we want to move on to help out a worthy charity, which I am proud to be patron of.
I’m privileged to know the parents of young Indee, Russell and Jane, and privileged to be able to raise money to help children suffering with the same disease. This year’s event is hopefully going to be a lot bigger than last years, we’re sitting down at the moment and planning out how it’s going to go, what players we have coming this year.
Because of the lateness on starting things this year we’ve missed a few of the players, but it’s still basically the same sort of response as last year.
Paul Smith’s Pick Pockets celebrate after winning last year’s tournament - Photo Gianluca (Rio) Di Caro
Paul Smith’s pickpockets, who won it last year, are coming. Graham Earl’s got a team, which he seems to want to have a bet he’ll win it outright this year.
Us runners up – TKO Boxers – I’m pretty confident as I’ve got a few ringers up my sleeve.
Indee Rose are going to field a team this year, and they seem confident that they’re gonna win it, they’ve been training for it for three months already, and that’s just to get their beer bellies off.
Boxing News are gonna put a team in them self, they won the wooden spoon last year, but I’m sure that Tris (Dixon) from Boxing News has got a few tricks up his sleeve as he doesn’t want to get disgraced like last year. All in the fun of it.
Ringtone Gym are putting together a music and boxing team headed up by Ben (Day) himself and his mate Johnny Borrell, from Razorlight, they enjoyed last year so much they decided to put their own team together this year.
We’ve got a team of Paddy’s coming over and Ricky Burns is bringing a team of Jocks down from bonny Scotland.
Our sponsors have come forward a lot this year, we only need one more team to do, which I’m pretty certain will be covered by end of play. We are still looking for certain sponsors, one to pay the hotel bill for all the traveling teams. The other sponsor we are looking for is on the catering side, we’ve got an after tournament party for the players and their families and are looking for someone that does catering.
The event this year is going to be covered by Sky Sports, Ed Robinson himself came down to the gym last week and did an interview to promote the event and he’s assured ne that he is going to give the event some coverage this year on Ringside, which’ll be great for potential sponsors, if they sponsor the right team you’re going to get some good coverage, although every sponsor is going to have his name on the front of the shirts, so there’s going to be plenty of advertisement for the team sponsors. It’s worth getting involved if only to help these youngsters that are suffering with this terrible disease.
I’m pretty certain that we can top the twenty thousand that we raised last year and hopefully double it. Get your fingers on the phone and ring me up and get your pledges going.”
Indee Rose’s father Russell Dopson then added “Last year was amazing, I couldn’t believe how many stars we had turn up.
We had over three thousand people turn up on the day and we managed to raise twenty thousand pounds, which was well above our expectations.
Everyone is buzzing about this year, I can’t wait to get it all going and am really looking forward to it.”
This year’s TRAD TKO Boxing Gym promoted Boxers and Celebrity Football Tournament, in aid of the Indee Rose Trust, kicks off at 12:00pm at the Concord Rangers FC, Thames Road, Canvey Island, Essex on Sunday 14th August 2011.

Indee is our inspiration for our charity The Indee Rose Trust, a charity that supports children with brain and spinal tumours, and winning this title has helped me realise that us mums especially with children who may have a serious illness are truly amazing. I have had the privilege of meeting so many of these wonderful mums and everyday their lives is one big battle fighting against their child’s tumour. Also I would like to thank everyone who voted for me as you have made my son smile as it has been a very tough year for him also. He's so excited about going to Alton Towers!”
